For the past two months in the Florida summer since the water has been hot and I also have a new finish in my pool I have been getting massive amounts of white flakes a.k.a. calcium carbonate from the salt cell. After dosing the pool with 2 quarts recommended per the bottle for problematic pools about two weeks later I have absolutely no white flakes blowing out of all my jets you can see it in one of the pictures. Worth every penny will continue to buy. Pool store wants almost $40 for one quart. The pool guy did explain to me though that the higher pH from the new finish and the 90+ degree water causes this more severe reaction in the salt cell so he said it shouldn’t be a problem in the winter With cooler water unless we’re running the heater. 10/10 would recommend as normal maintenance to a salt pool to help extend the life of the cell and prevent buildup on the cell.
